2006 Capital Athletic Conference Volleyball All-Conference Team
ST. MARY’S CITY, MD - The top three seeds in the 2006 Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) tournament all had two players named to the 2006 All-CAC Volleyball First Team on Monday afternoon. Gallaudet, the tournament champion, and Marymount (Va.), the tournament runner-up, both had three players named in total on both teams. St. Mary’s (Md.) freshman outside hitter Katie Ewing was selected as the Rookie of the Year while Gallaudet’s senior outside hitter Tamara Foronda was named the Player of the Year. After leading her squad to an undefeated record in conference play during the regular season, and taking second in the tournament, Marymount’s Beth Ann Wilson was selected by her peers as the 2006 CAC Coach of the Year.
