Gallaudet Earns 2006 CAC Volleyball Championship
The #3-seeded Gallaudet University women’s volleyball team won their second consecutive Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) volleyball championship on Saturday evening with a 3-0 sweep over #1-seeded Marymount (Va.). The contest was a rematch of the 2005 championship, which the Bison won by a 3-1 score. The victory gives Gallaudet their third title in the last four seasons and seventh overall. The Bison will now advance to the NCAA championship tournament. The tournament pairings will be released on Monday morning at 11:00 a.m. on www.ncaasports.com. The regionals of the championship tournament are scheduled to begin on Thursday, November 9.
