Gallaudet Honored With American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award
Gallaudet University was among the programs recognized by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) with its Team Academic Award for the 2007-08 season.
The AVCA award honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that displayed excellence in the classroom during the school year with at least a 3.30 team grade-point average on a 4.0 scale. A total of 171 NCAA teams were honored for its classroom performance during the 2007-08 academic year, including 61 NCAA Division III programs.
GU posted a 24-12 overall record in 2007, including a 7-1 mark to tie Salisbury for first place in the regular-season standings.
