On the heels of the conclusion of the NCAA Division III volleyball tournament, the American Volleyball Coaches Association released its final top 25 coaches' poll and Salisbury University, which advanced to the quarterfinals of the tournament, reached a new high, being ranked No. 12 to end the season.

Salisbury garnered 303 points in the final poll, climbing two spots from No. 14, where the Sea Gulls sat at the end of the regular season.

The Sea Gulls, who ended the season with a program-record 37 wins, made the program's deepest run in the NCAA playoffs, winning three matches in a regional tournament hosted at Maggs Physical Activities Center, before advancing to the national quarterfinals, where they fell to Elmhurst College.

Salisbury finished 34 points behind the University of Mount Union and 16 points ahead of Otterbein University.

National champion University of St. Thomas (Minn.) was the No. 1 team in the poll with 600 points and all 24 first-place votes. National runner-up Calvin College, which entered the tournament as the No. 1-ranked team, finished a unanimous No. 2. Christopher Newport University, which will be a member of the Capital Athletic Conference with Salisbury the next time it plays a match, finished No. 3 with 538 points followed by Elmhurst (523 points) and Wittenberg University (512).
