Salisbury Senior Chelsea Glowacki Named To Capital One Academic All-District Volleyball Team

The College Sports Information Directors of America released its Capital One Academic All-District teams for volleyball on Thursday, and Salisbury University senior Chelsea Glowacki was named to the team.

To be eligible for nomination, a student-athlete must carry a minimum 3.30 grade-point average and be a starter or key reserve for his or her team.

The Poolesville, Md., native is an exercise science major, carrying a 3.40 grade-point average. She was recently named to the All-Capital Athletic Conference first team and the American Volleyball Coaches Association All-Mid-Atlantic Region team. She was named the CAC Player of the Week on Oct. 1.

This season, Glowacki has not only registered her 1,000th career kill, but has also taken the top spot on the program's career block list, with her 450th rejection.

During the 2012 campaign, she has posted a team-best 88 blocks to go with 287 kills, second on the team, and 279 digs.
