Salisbury's Carley Todd Picked For CAC Volleyball Player Of The Week Award

Salisbury senior setter CARLEY TODD (Greenlawn, N.Y./Harborfields) was named the CAC Volleyball Player of the Week for Oct. 29, 2012 after leading the 17th-ranked Gulls to a 4-1 week, including a regular-season championship victory over second-place Marymount that clinched the top seed in the 2012 CAC Tournament. Todd contributed 161 assists, 44 kills, a .367 hitting percentage, 41 digs and 10 blocks in the five matches and earned a berth on the CNU Invitational All-Tournament Team.

Salisbury Freshman Ashlyn Tapley Picked As CAC Volleyball Player Of The Week

Salisbury freshman outside hitter ASHLYN TAPLEY (Odenton, Md./Arundel) was named CAC Volleyball Player of the Week for Oct. 15, 2012, after leading the 18th-ranked Sea Gulls to four wins in five matches. For the week, Tapley had 54 kills and a .370 hitting percentage. She also added 29 digs and finished the week with the SU Invitational MVP award.
Marymount's Erin Allison Named CAC Volleyball Player Of The Week

Marymount sophomore outside hitter ERIN ALLISON (Gardnerville, Nev./Douglas) was named CAC Volleyball Player of the Week for Oct. 8, 2012, after leading the Saints to a 3-0 record this week, including a 3-2 nailbiter at CAC rival York. Allison averaged 2.80 kills per set with a .250 hitting percentage and added 0.40 blocks per set as the Saints reached the 20-win plateau for the first time since 2006.
Salisbury's Chelsea Glowacki Named CAC Volleyball Player Of The Week

Salisbury senior CHELSEA GLOWACKI (Poolesville, Md./Poolesville) was named CAC Volleyball Player of the Week for Oct. 1, 2012, after leading the Sea Gulls to three wins this week, including a CAC showdown at Mary Washington. Glowacki had 36 kills and a .408 hitting percentage. Glowacki, who also had 31 digs and seven blocks (two solo), sparked SU’s five-set victory over Virginia Wesleyan with nine kills in the final two sets.

St. Mary’s junior RS MICHELLE KLIMA (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) was named CAC Volleyball Player of the Week for Sept. 17, 2012, after leading the Seahawks to four wins in five outings, including a CAC victory at Wesley and three wins at the Neumann Knights Tournament. Klima posted 49 kills and a .427 hitting percentage while adding 13 total blocks (four solo), three assists and two digs.

Marymount senior middle hitter JENN FORBES (Philadelphia, Pa./Central) was named CAC Volleyball Player of the Week for Sept. 10, 2012, after leading the Saints to five wins, including four to capture top honors at the Catholic Invitational over the weekend. Forbes averaged 3.44 kills and a .394 attack percentage for the week. She also contributed 11 solo blocks and nine block assists during the week. Highlights included 17 kills and a hitting percentage above .500 against CUA and 16 kills against Misericordia.

Salisbury senior setter CARLEY TODD (Greenlawn, N.Y./Harborfields) was named CAC Volleyball Player of the Week for Sept. 3, 2012, after leading the Sea Gulls to four wins in the NYU Tournament. Todd was named the Tournament MVP after the Gulls won all four matches by 3-0 scores. She contributed 30 kills, 101 assists, 47 digs and seven service aces during the weekend action.
