Christopher Newport and Salisbury Headed to NCAA Volleyball Regional Hosted by Juniata

CAC champion Christopher Newport and runner-up Salisbury are both headed to Juniata for an eight-team NCAA Tournament regional in Huntingdon, Pa. 

The Captains claimed the CAC's automatic bid with a 3-0 victory over the Sea Gulls in Saturday's title match, while Salisbury enters the 64-team NCAA Tournament by virtue of a Pool C at-large berth. The Sea Gulls were one of 19 recipients of a Pool C at-large bid. 

First round matchups are set for Friday, Nov. 15, and will feature Christopher Newport (24-12) against Cabrini (29-4) and Salisbury (29-5) against Stevenson (35-2). 

This marks the seventh straight NCAA appearance for Christopher Newport and the third straight trip for Salisbury. 

Other matchups in the eight-team regional at Juniata include Eastern vs. Johns Hopkins and Gallaudet vs. Juniata. 

Along with Juniata, the remaining eight-team regionals will be hosted by Calvin, Clarkson, Elmhurst, Emory, St. Thomas (Minn.), Trinity (Texas), and Williams. 

Regional competition will be Nov. 15-17 at all sites except Calvin, Elmhurst and St. Thomas (Minn.), where competition will be Nov. 14-16.

Game times for NCAA matchups will be announced within the next few days.
