Marymount Women’s Volleyball Team Earns ECAC Southwest Tournament Championship Bid
Marymount University’s women’s volleyball team was selected to play in the Eastern College Athletic Conference Southwest Championships, as announced by the ECAC on Monday.
The Saints earn their first bid to the tournament in the program’s first season as a member of the organization.
Marymount travels to Bethany, W.Va., on Saturday to take on Grove City in the semifinals of the Southwest bracket. The Saints then battle either host Bethany or McDaniel in the finals, also on Saturday.
Entering the tournament with a 19-14 overall record, the Saints look to reach the 20-win mark for the ninth time in program history. Marymount also won at least 20 matches from 1996-99 as well as 2004-06 and again in 2012.
