Salisbury edged host St. Mary's, 3-2, while York shut out host Wesley Tuesday as the Sea Gulls and Spartans picked up their first conference volleyball victories of the season. Christopher Newport and Marymount also emerged victorious Tuesday.

Southern Virginia sophomore setter KATELYNN TLUSTEK was named CAC Volleyball Player of the Week for Oct. 8, 2013, after leading the Knights to four victories, including three against CAC rivals on consecutive days. She finished the week with 15 kills and a .375 hitting percentage, 111 assists, 10 service aces, 23 digs and four blocks (one solo) as the Knights won 12 of 13 sets.
St. Mary's Sophomore Mandy Goodspeed Selected As CAC Volleyball Player Of The Week

St. Mary’s sophomore middle blocker MANDY GOODSPEED (Columbia, Md./Atholton) was named CAC Volleyball Player of the Week for Oct. 1, 2013, after a very consistent week, contributing double digits in kills and at least three blocks in all five SMC wins while finishing above the 25% hitting plateau in four of the five matches. Goodspeed totaled 72 kills, a 24.9 hitting percentage and 22 total blocks (seven solo) in winning her second weekly award of the season.
York Sophomore Allie Donahue Selected As CAC Volleyball Player Of The Week

York sophomore setter ALLIE DONAHUE was named CAC Volleyball Player of the Week for Sept. 24, 2013, after leading the Spartans to three wins last week. She totaled 191 assists in 18 sets, including three matches were she distributed 40 or more helpers. She also contributed 10 kills, 14 service aces, 46 digs and five blocks (one solo) for the Spartans.

St. Mary’s sophomore outside hitter AUTUMN FISHER was named CAC Volleyball Player of the Week for Sept. 17, 2013, after leading the Seahawks to a pair of wins Saturday at Gettysburg, averaging 4.0 points per set. Fisher matched her career-high with 14 kills and added two solo blocks in a four-set win over the host Bullets. Fisher also helped sweep Hood with eight kills, nine digs and two total blocks.

St. Mary’s sophomore middle blocker MANDY GOODSPEED was named CAC Volleyball Player of the Week for Sept. 10, 2013, after leading the Seahawks to four wins at the Hollins Green Invitational. Goodspeed earned All-Tournament Team honors after recording 35 kills, a .324 hitting percentage and 20 blocks in four shutout victories. She tied her career high with five solo blocks against Methodist (six total blocks) and had a season-high four block assists against Emory & Henry. She averaged a team-best 4.21 points per set for the weekend.
Mary Washington Freshman Emma Olson Selected As CAC Volleyball Player Of The Week

Mary Washington freshman setter EMMA OLSON was named CAC Volleyball Player of the Week for Sept. 3, 2013, after leading the Eagles in the Virginia Wesleyan Invitational. In addition to contributing 90 assists in 16 sets, she led the team in kills in three of UMW’s four matches, finishing with 45 and 34.3 hitting percentage. Olson also added 37 digs, two service aces and four block assists for the Eagles.
