Christopher Newport's Briana Sutton Honored as CAC Female Athlete of the Year

Christopher Newport University junior volleyball/track & field standout Briana Sutton (Williamsburg, Va./Jamestown) was selected by the Capital Athletic Conference athletic directors as the 2015-16 Female Athlete of the Year. Sutton is the inaugural recipient of the award.
St. Mary's Jeremy Sands Resigns as Seahawks' Volleyball Coach; Accepts Assistant Coach Position at Navy

St. Mary's College of Maryland Director of Athletics and Recreation Scott Devine announced Tuesday morning the resignation of head volleyball coach Jeremy Sands. Sands' resignation is effective immediately as he accepted the position of assistant coach at NCAA Division I U.S. Naval Academy.
Salisbury's Katie Stouffer, Frostburg State's Naya Cheatem Named to ECAC South All-Star Team

Salisbury junior Katie Stouffer and Frostburg State sophomore Naya Cheatem continued to add to their postseason hardware on Thursday as they were selected to the ECAC Volleyball South All-Star team. Stouffer earned first team honors, while Cheatem landed on the second team.
Salisbury Junior Katie Stouffer Named CoSIDA Academic All-American

Salisbury volleyball junior Katie Stouffer was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Third Team, announced by the organization on Tuesday. With the honor, Stouffer becomes the first CAC student-athlete to receive Academic All-America recognition in the 2015-16 season. She is the 25th Sea Gull to earn Academic All-America honors since Salisbury has been a member of the CAC, and the 87th Academic All-American in CAC history.

Marymount Earns Bid to ECAC South Volleyball Tournament

The Marymount volleyball team will continue postseason play in its 2015 season, as the Eastern College Athletic Conference announced on Monday the bracket for the Division III Women's South Volleyball Championship. The Saints earned the eighth seed in the tournament and will travel to top-seeded Carnegie Mellon on Wednesday, November 11. Start time is set for 6 p.m.
