Salisbury's Katie Stouffer, Frostburg State's Naya Cheatem Named to ECAC South All-Star Team

Complete ECAC Volleyball South All-Star Team 

Salisbury junior Katie Stouffer and Frostburg State sophomore Naya Cheatem continued to add to their postseason hardware on Thursday as they were selected to the ECAC Volleyball South All-Star team. Stouffer earned first team honors, while Cheatem landed on the second team. 

Stouffer ranked in the top 10 nationally in three different statistical categories in 2015. She was third nationally, and led the CAC in kills per set, averaging 4.98. She also led the league and ranked fourth in the country in points per set (5.57) and was sixth in the country in total kills, with 538.

This is one of many honors this season for Stouffer, who was named a first-team All-CAC selection, a first-team American Volleyball Coaches Association All-Region and honorable mention All-American pick, along with an Academic All-District and All-American honoree.The Sea Gulls went 24-8 this year and advanced to the CAC championship match for the fifth-straight year.

Cheatem finished third nationally in total kills (607) and total attacks (1,591). Her 607 kills are good for third-best in a season in the FSU record books. Cheatem finished second on the team with 63 total blocks, 11 solo and 52 assisted, and fourth on the team with 218 digs.
 
Cheatem was also an All-CAC First Team pick and an AVCA All-Region honorable mention selection. The Bobcats finished 2015 with a 17-18 overall record.
