Mary Washington Volleyball Drops 3-2 Decision to Washington-St. Louis in NCAA Elite Eight

Mary Washington's magical season came to a close with a hard-fought, back-and-forth five-set loss to Washington-St. Louis in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Volleyball Tournament on Thursday night in Oshkosh, Wisc. 

Game scores were 27-25, 24-26, 23-25, 25-23, 15-9. The CAC champion Eagles conclude the year with a record of 31-4.

UMW equalled the best finish ever by a CAC team, joining Christopher Newport (2014) and Salisbury (2012) as NCAA quarterfinalists. 

Rachel Hendricks led UMW with 20 kills, while Peyton Dunow scored 13 kills and 19 digs. Savannah Powers notched 12 kills and 12 digs, and Emma Olson registered six kills, 59 assists, and 15 digs.
