Christopher Newport Volleyball Headed to NCAA Regional at Emory

CAC champion Christopher Newport is headed to Atlanta, Ga. for an eight-team NCAA Volleyball Regional hosted by Emory. The Captains (27-3) will take on Thomas More (29-5) in the first round on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. 

This marks CNU's 11th straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament. The Captains earned the CAC's automatic bid with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Mary Washington in the CAC title match on Saturday. 

Other matchups in the Emory regional include host Emory vs. Worcester State, Birmingham-Southern vs. Covenant, and Berry vs. Hanover. The CNU/Thomas More winner will meet the Emory/Worcester State winner in the second round.
