CAC tournament champion Christopher Newport has been selected to host an eight-team NCAA Volleyball Regional beginning Friday (Nov. 15) in Newport News. This marks CNU's 13th straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

Christopher Newport freshman setter Sammy Carroll swept both 2019 CAC Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year honors to highlight the 2019 All-CAC Volleyball teams. Salisbury senior Hailey Dougherty collected CAC Defensive Player of the Year accolades, while Savannah Powers was named CAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Lastly, CAC regular season champions Christopher Newport took home 2019 CAC Coaching Staff of the Year recognition.

The 2019 CAC Volleyball Tournament Championship matchup is finalized and will feature #1 Christopher Newport hosting #2 Mary Washington for the fourth consecutive year on Saturday, Nov. 9th at 2 p.m. in Newport News. CNU will look for its third straight league title and sixth overall, while UMW prepares for its third conference crown and first since 2016.
