The 2019 Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Volleyball Tournament semifinal matchups are now set following Tuesday's (Nov. 5) quarterfinal contests.

The first semifinal matchup will feature #1 Christopher Newport hosting #4 Southern Virginia on Thursday (Nov. 7) in Newport News at 7 p.m. The Knights took down #5 York in quarterfinal play to advance in the tournament. McKaye Cunningham led SVU with 11 kills and a .231 hitting percentage, while Mykynli Knight anchored the defense with 16 digs.

The other semifinal contest will showcase #2 Mary Washington welcoming #3 Salisbury to Fredericksburg for a 7 p.m. battle. The Sea Gulls survived in a five-set thriller over #6 St. Mary's where Salisbury hit .271 as a team for the match. SU was guided by Amanda Chew and Chloe Adam who each recorded 18 kills, while Hailey Dougherty posted 27 digs. 

The conference title match will take place at the higher seed on Saturday, Nov. 9th.

First Round - Tuesday, Nov. 5
Game 1: #4 Southern Virginia def. #5 York (Pa.), 3-1 (25-22, 20-25, 25-16, 25-16)
Game 2: #3 Salisbury def. #6 St. Mary's (Md.), 3-2 (25-18, 22-25, 25-10, 13-25, 15-10)
Note - top two seeds gain first-round byes

Semifinal Round - Thursday, Nov. 7
Game 3: #1 Christopher Newport vs. #4 Southern Virginia, 7 PM
Game 4: #2 Mary Washington vs. #3 Salisbury, 7 PM

Championship - Saturday, Nov. 9
Game 5: Game 1 Winner vs. Game 2 Winner
