Mary Washington Wins 2007 CAC Women's Cross Country Championship
YORK, PA - The University of Mary Washington won the 2007 Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) women's cross country championship on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles finished with 27 points, seven poitns ahead of second-place Salisbury University.
Senior Cristy Falcone led the Eagles by finishing first overall with a time of 22:59. Fellow senior Ann Tripp finished second at 23:06, Hayley Sullivan was sixth overall at 23:53, and Erin Grogan was seventh at 24:16. Kristy Witek finished 11th at 24:31 and Erin McCarthy placed 13th at 24:58.
York (Pa.) finished in third place with 99 points followed by Hood College in fourth place with 127 points. Villa Julie (138 points), Marymount University (156 points), and Wesley (158 points) rounded out the seven team field.
There were 51 participants in the race.
