York junior JESS MILLER (Dauphin, Pa./Bishop McDevitt) was selected as the CAC Women’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week for Oct. 1, 2013, after placing third overall at the Don Cathcart Invitational at Salisbury. Miller, the top CAC and NCAA Division III runner in the event, posted her best time of the year for a 6K course in 22:15.40.

Mary Washington junior LAUREN BRANEY was selected as the CAC Women’s Cross Country Co-Athletes of the Week for Sept. 24, 2013, after taking top honors in the Christopher Newport Settler’s Invitational Saturday, covering the 6K course in 19:38. It was her first individual victory of the season.

St. Mary’s senior KEIGHLY BRADBROOK was selected as the CAC Women’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week for Sept. 10, 2013, after placing fourth out of 59 runners in the Washington & Lee Invitational. Bradbrook, who posted her first-ever top-five finish, covered the 5K course in 21:38.60 and led the Seahawks to second place out of six teams.

Marymount freshman Melissa Teeple was selected as the first CAC Women’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week after breaking the 23-minute mark at Salisbury’s Winter Park course, home of the 2013 CAC Championships on Nov. 2. Teeple’s time of 22.59.08 on the 6K course placed the Saints’ newcomer 12th overall and first among CAC runners from four teams. She led MU to fourth place in the team standings - the best finish in a meet with at least 10 teams in program history.
