SALISBURY TEAM PREVIEW

Salisbury University returns to the Capital Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships after a strong showing last season with the women placing second while the men finished fourth. The maroon and gold will look to improve on those finishes this season as it has been solid in its performances thus far this season.

Conner Masteran will lead the charge for the men’s team breaking two school records already this season in both the 3k and 5k. Emmanuel Porquin, Jack McCloskey, Mickey Van Gieson, and Alex Hardman will also look to pace the men’s squad in their respective events of middle distance and sprints. In the field events the tam will be led by Jeffrey McInnis and Chris Leby is the jumps and Zachary Stump in the pole vault.

On the women’s side the team will be led by Jamie Farley, who has earned track athlete of the week honors this season, and be a key runner for Salisbury in the sprints. The team will also be paced by Ashley Mazer in the distance, Shea McCloskey in the middle distance, and Ashley Luton as well as Glory Ebinama in the sprints.  In the field events the team will be led by Kyleigh Dumas, who is coming off a first-place performance at the Vince Brown Invitational. Collen Howard will also be looked to aid in the field events competing in the high jump while Imani Hasell will compete in the weight throw.
