Capital Athletic Conference

Formed in 1989, the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) is a 10-member coalition of four-year, co-educational institutions that promotes intercollegiate athletic competition among schools located in close geographic proximity that have similar educational and athletic philosophies. At the 2018 CAC Championships, eight men's golf teams and three women's golf teams will compete for the conference title. On the men's side, seven full-member institutions sponsor golf - Christopher Newport, Mary Washington, Marymount, Penn State Harrisburg, Southern Virginia, Wesley, and York, while New Jersey City is an associate member. On the women's side, Christopher Newport, Southern Virginia and York will compete for the title in 2018.

Bay Creek Resort

Bay Creek’s award-winning golf resort is the first in the United States to feature Signature courses from two of the top names in golf—Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer. Golf Digest has consistently named the 18-hole courses among the best in the state, while Golf World ranked Bay Creek 12th in its list of top golf resorts in America. Bay Creek has served as the host site of the CAC Championships since 2016. In the 2018, the men's teams will compete on the Nicklaus Course and the women's teams will compete on the Palmer course.
