Salisbury Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Participates In 4th Annual Shoebox Gift-Giving Campaign

The Salisbury University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) recently participated in its fourth annual shoebox gift-giving campaign for the holiday season.

This year, members of SAAC filled over 90 shoeboxes with food, games and educational materials for under-privileged children in the area who take part in the Salisbury Horizons program.

Launched in 2003, Salisbury Horizons aims to educate and inspire elementary-aged students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds and provides them with a wide array of academic, social and recreational opportunities. Horizons' hands-on approach to learning equips students with a strong motivation to learn and the skills necessary to realize their full potential.
