The University Mary Washington men's soccer's coaching staff was named the United Soccer Coaches Region VI Staff of the Year. The Eagles' staff is led by Jason Kilby and assisted by David Yates, Mike Webb, and Keith Moser.

Kilby and his staff led the Eagles to a 19-2-2 record with a third consecutive appearance in the Sweet 16. UMW's 19 victories were the second most in program history.

With UMW's success, the Eagles had three members named to the All-American First Team in Carter Berg, Nelsar Castillo, and Freddy Rogers. Too, Sammy Amorose and Jordy Santana were named to the All-Region VI team.
