The Christopher Newport men's track & field team is looking to claim its fourth consecutive CAC Outdoor Championship. Led by head coach Tyler Wingard, the Captains currently boast the league's top mark in four events entering the title meet. Clark Edwards ranks seventh in the NCAA in the 800, while Kurt Waller has the league's top effort in both the 200 and 400. Trejon Edmonds also enters the title meet with the conference's fastest clocking in the 3000-steeplechase.


The Christopher Newport women's track & field team will vie for its sixth straight CAC Outdoor Championship this week. Coming into the meet, head coach Tyler Wingard's squad features the league's top performer in both the 100-hurdles and discus. Hannah Bowden sits among the conference's top-10 in three disciplines while sporting the CAC's fastest mark in the hurdles. Meanwhile, in field events, Sarah Johnson ranks first in the discus and second in the shot put.
