SALISBURY TEAM PREVIEW

The Salisbury University track and field program are set to compete in the 2019 Capital Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Christopher Newport University.

On the men’s side the team will look to a multitude of leaders in different events starting with the sprints and hurdles. Alex Hardman, Ethan Binnix, Mickey Van Gieson, Caleb Mable, and Justin Williams will all be looked at to help lead the team in the sprint events and relays as well as the 110 and 400-meter hurdles.

In the field events the Sea Gulls will be anchored by senior Michael Millemann, who will look to turn in a solid outing in the javelin throw. The team will also be led by Chris Leby, in the long and triple jump, and Zachary Stump in the pole vault.

The men’s team is rounded out by the distance and middle distance runners of Emmanuel Porquin, Conner Masteran, Mason Kimbell and Ethan Gray.

Meanwhile, on the women’s side the team will be led in the sprints by Jamie Farley, Glory Ebinama, Ti’Aira Hairston, Caitlyn Rishell, Alicia Meier, and Ashley Luton in both the individual events and the relays.

In the field events the team will be led by Kyleigh Dumas in the pole vault while also looking to Colleen Howard in the high jump and Julia Mullen in both the pole vault and the hammer throw. In the throwing events themselves the team will be led by Maiya Chapman, Imani Hasell, Alexandra Jakubowski, and Dalina Julien.

Rounding out the women’s team the Sea Gulls will be led by the McCloskey sisters, Shea and Alyssa, as well as Juliana Ancalmo and Allison Keller. In the distance events the team will be anchored by Ashley Mazer, Sydney Ruckel, Christine Sturm, Jillian Swaim, Abby Potter, and Carly Sniffen.
