Salisbury Wins C2C Championship in a Shootout

Salisbury claimed the 2024 Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) Field Hockey Championship with a 3-2 shootout victory over Christopher Newport on Saturday in Salisbury, Maryland.  The Sea Gulls won their 25th conference title with a 4-3 advantage in the shootout.

CNU took the early lead with a Maddison Steele goal just 2:33 into the game.  

In the second quarter, Kaitlyn DeModna scored twice in 46 seconds to put the Sea Gulls ahead 2-1.

The Captains tied the game at 2-2 in the third quarter with a goal by Katie Abendschoen.
