St. Mary's Field Hockey Team Walks For Epilepsy Foundation

On a cold, rainy Saturday morning, 16 members of the St. Marys College of Maryland field hockey team put their legs to work in support of the Epilepsy Foundations National Walk for Epilepsy. The Walk, hosted by the Epilepsy Foundationwith financial support from Ortho-McNeil Neurologics®, Division of Ortho-McNeil-Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Inc.is devised to raise awareness of epilepsy, raise funds for much needed programs for people with epilepsy and help in the search for a cure.
61 CAC Field Hockey Players, Including 15 On the 2008 All-CAC Team, Named To NFHCA Div. III Academic Squad

A total of 61 players, representing all seven Capital Athletic Conference teams, were named to the 2008 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Acacademic Squad. Of those 61 players, 15 of them were named to the 2008 All-CAC team, including 10 first-team all-star honorees.

The Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced its 2008 Division III Field Hockey All-Stars on Monday and Salisbury University had one player garner the award. Sophomore forward Kandice Hancock was one of 22 recipients to distinguish this honor as she was named to the second team. She was the only player from the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) to receive the distinction.
