York Junior Blayde Reich Named CAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week

York junior Blayde Reich was named the CAC Player of the Week after leading the Spartans to a 2-0 week including an upset win over 12th-ranked Salisbury on Saturday. In the first game of the week, a 14-point win at Frostburg State, Reich tallied 16 points, four rebounds, a block, a steal and an assist as York snapped a five-game losing streak at Bobcat Arena. In the upset win over the Sea Gulls, Reich converted a three-point play with 39 seconds left to give the Spartans the lead. He tallied 18 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the floor while he also went 6-for-7 from the free throw line. Reich also grabbed six rebounds and had a pair of steals for York. For the week, Reich averaged 17 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game. He shot 47.8% from the floor and went 12-for-13 (92.3%) from the line.
