Christopher Newport sophomore Matt DiSalvo was tabbed an Honorable Mention All-American today, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). DiSalvo picked up Division III PING Honorable Mention All-America honors, marking the fourth straight year a Captain has been pegged among the nation's top players.

With three overall selections, the Christopher Newport University golf team had the most players on the 2014 Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) College Division All-State Golf teams, released early Tuesday morning. Senior Jonathan Howard led the way as a first team All-State selection, while Matt DiSalvo and Sam Robinson were each tabbed as second team All-State picks.

Marymount's Mark Curtis placed 12th overall at the PGA Minority Collegiate Golf Championship over the weekend. The graduating junior posted rounds of 81, 84 and 82 during the three-day event for a total score of 247 – just 25 strokes off the leader.
