Frank Rivera, who will turn 30 on November 25, and graduate this winter with a degree in Applied Physics, is the most visible military veteran to have competed for the Gothic Knights in recent years. But responsibility is nothing new to the captain of the 2014-15 NJCU men's golf team, an eight-year military man, husband and father of two.

The University of Mary Washington will add men’s golf as a varsity athletic program beginning fall, 2016. The school will spend the next year and a half recruiting talented student-athletes and planning for the first tee shot in August 2016. The program will be immediately eligible for CAC and NCAA championships.
