Mary Washington freshman ALEX ANDERSON (Vienna, Va./James Madison) was selected as the CAC Men’s Swimming Athlete of the Week for the second time this season gaining one of UMW’s two individual wins against NCAA Division I rival William & Mary. Anderson broke the team and CAC records in the 200 breaststroke (2:06.47) - one of the oldest records on the CAC books, set in 1996 by Goucher’s Mike Raley.

Mary Washington senior BILLY NORFOLK (Fairfax, Va./Chantilly) was selected as the CAC Men’s Swimming Athlete of the Week for the second time this season after a strong performance in UMW’s non-conference battle at Gettysburg. Norfolk touched the wall first in the 100 butterfly (52.30) and 200 butterfly (154.82) and helped the Eagles claim top honors in the 200 medley relay (1:36.44).

Mary Washington freshman ALEX ANDERSON (Vienna, Va./James Madison) was selected as the CAC Men’s Swimming Athlete of the Week after compiling six wins in a pair of tri-meets over the weekend - leading the Eagles to four CAC victories. Friday at St. Mary’s, Anderson anchored the victorious 400 medley relay and swept top honors individually in the 50 freestyle (21.48) and 200 breaststroke (2:07.92). Saturday, he was a member of the gold medal 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay and added a first-place finish in the 100 butterfly (51.30).

Salisbury junior JESSE CUNNINGHAM was selected as the CAC Men’s Swimming Athlete of the Week after contributing to two of the Gulls’ five gold medal performances in Saturday’s CAC victory over Hood. Cunningham captured top honors in the 200 IM (2:18.44) and was a member of the victorious 200 medley relay (1:55.30).

St. Mary’s junior BILLY DeBOISSIERE was selected as the CAC Men’s Swimming Athlete of the Week for the third time this season after winning three individual events and leading SMC to fifth place at the annual Franklin & Marshall Invitational. DeBoissiere touched the wall first in the 500 freestyle (4:45.15), 100 breaststroke (59.34) and 200 breaststroke (2:11.96). He was also part of a third-place 800 freestyle relay, fourth-place 400 freestyle relay and fifth-place 400 medley relay.

Salisbury senior JOE WISDA was selected as the CAC Men’s Swimming Athlete of the Week after leading the Sea Gulls to the team championship at the Kutztown Golden Bears Invitational. Wisda captured three of the Gulls’ five gold medals in Saturday’s competition, winning the 100 butterfly (55.33) and 100 freestyle (49.96) before finishing the meet with a victory in the 400 freestyle relay (3:22.76).

St. Mary’s junior BILLY DeBOISSIERE was selected as the CAC Men’s Swimming Athlete of the Week for the second time in the last three weeks. DeBoissiere set four pool records and broke the same team record in consecutive meets to lead SMC to an 8-1 dual meet record this year, including the team’s first win over CAC rival York since the 2001-02 season. He won three events Friday at Washington College, including a pool and SMC record in the 1,000 freestyle, and added a pool record in the 100 breaststroke. In winning three events Saturday at York, DeBoissiere again set the team and pool record in the 1,000 freestyle and added a pool-record performance in the 200 breaststroke.

York freshman CODY LATCHFORD (New Castle, Del./William Penn) was selected as the CAC Men’s Swimming Athlete of the Week after winning two events as the Spartans handed Mary Washington its first CAC loss in 11 years. In a tri-meet with Hood, Latchford opened his college career by leading off the victorious 200 medley relay, followed by individual wins in the 200 freestyle (1:48.96) and 200 backstroke (2:03.04). In Saturday’s dual meet win at Marymount, Latchford won the same two individual events as the Spartans won all three meets on their season-opening weekend.

St. Mary’s junior BILLY DeBOISSIERE (Columbia, Md./Atholton) was selected as the CAC Men’s Swimming Athlete of the Week after helping the Seahawks to their second 3-0 start in the last three years, including wins over Catholic, Marymount and Hood. DeBoissiere posted individual wins in the 200 freestyle and 100 breaststroke at Catholic, then added gold medal performances in the 1,000 freestyle and 200 breaststroke in Saturday’s tri-meet. He was also a member of the 400 medley relay at MU, giving him five first-place finishes in six races in the week.

He also took top honors in the 200 fly in the annual cross-state rivalry meet against Washington & Lee.
