Penn State Harrisburg's Jalil Clayton and Salisbury's Jeffrey McInnis Named CAC Men's Track & Field Athletes of the Week
FREDERICKSBURG, Va. -- Penn State Harrisburg senior Jalil Clayton and Salisbury junior Jeffrey McInnis were selected as the CAC Men's Track & Field Athletes of the Week for Dec. 4, 2018.

Penn State Harrisburg's Jalil Clayton wasted no time in impressing to begin his senior season, posting a new program record thanks to a blistering time of 8.18 in the 60m hurdles at Susquehanna's River Hawk Open. His time bested his previous career mark of 8.27 and currently ranks him second in the nation in the event, just .01 seconds off the the best effort of the year. He also helped lead the Blue & White's 4x400m relay team to victory over squads from Stevenson, Susquehanna and Scranton thanks to a strong opening leg.

Salisbury junior Jeffrey McInnis earned a second-place finish at the Eastern Shore Cappy Anderson Invite in the long jump posting a jump of 22' 6.5", which ranks ninth in the nation currrently and the best mark in the conference.

NOTES AROUND THE CONFERENCE
Southern Virginia's Michael Myers finished in second place in the 3000 meter-run with a time of 8:59.21, also placed fourth in the 5000 meter-run with a time of 15:41.01...Derek Blasko won the Bast-Cregger Invitational in the Shot Put with a throw of 14.42m in season-opener as the best mark in the CAC...Mary Washington's Rajai Walton continued where he left off last outdoor season by winning the long jump at the Bast Cregger Invitational in Roanoke this weekend. He topped the list with a leap of 22 feet, 1.75 inches...York's Tony Nelo got his campaign off to a good start as he registered a pair of top seven finishes at the F&M Diplomat Open on Saturday. Nelo finished sixth in the weight throw with a best toss of 12.10 meters. He followed that with a seventh place finish in the shot put with a heave of 12.40 meters...Salisbury's Alex Hardman placed third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 51.26 seconds
