Frostburg State University director of athletics Troy A. Dell has recently announced that Carrie Saunders has been named the school's head women's basketball coach. Saunders, who will serve in an interim role for the 2014-15 season, takes over the reins of the program after serving as a graduate assistant for the last two years.

Fischer has also been named VaSID Player of the Year each of the past three seasons.
