Penn State Harrisburg junior Allison Cooper was selected as the CAC Women's Golfer of the Week after winning a pair of tournaments to begin the year. Cooper began the year with the individual title at the Bay Creek Invitational, carding a two-day total of four-over-par 148 to defeat the second-place finisher by six strokes. Cooper followed up that performance with another victory at the Penn State Harrisburg Invitational. She shot a two-day total of 159 (+17), winning by two strokes.

2017-18 marks the inaugural golf season for Christopher Newport, Mary Washington, Penn State Harrisburg, Southern Virginia, and York ... Five teams opened their inaugural campaigns at the Bay Creek Invitational in Cape Charles, Va., site of the first-ever CAC Women's Golf Championship ... Christopher Newport won the team title at Bay Crrek in convincing fashion, taking three of the top four individual finishes to win by 84 strokes. The Captains followed that up with a second-place team finish at the Greene Turtle Invitational. Freshman Erica Whitehouse finished in second individually in both tournaments ... ... Southern Virginia freshman Bailey Rusick placed fifth overall at the CAC Fall Invite in the Knights' first-ever NCAA women's golf match. Improved from a day-one score of 88 to a day-two 83.
