York Gains 16-Stroke Advantage at 2019 CAC Women's Golf Championship

The 2019 CAC Women's Golf Championship kicked off on Thursday, April 18 at the Golden Horseshoe Resort's Green Course, par 72 layout in Williamsburg, Va.

York took a 16-stroke lead after one round of place following a first round 329 (+41) as Anna Moore and Jordan Koller both sit in a tie for second place after rounds of 81 to open the championship.

Christopher Newport sits second with a 345 (+57) total as Katie Thome paced the Captains by firing 84 in the first round, while reigning CAC Player of the Year Erica Whitehouse carded 85.

Southern Virginia resides in third position following a round of 401 (+113), while Mary Washington sits in fourth after a 409 (+121) total.  UMW's Andrea Dill leads all competitors with an 8-over-par round of 80.
