St. Mary's Senior Christy Bishop and Junior Kayla Dunn Sweep CAC Women's Lacrosse Weekly Awards
YORK, Pa. -- St. Mary's swept this week's conference awards as senior Christy Bishop and junior Kayla Dunn were named the CAC Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week for March 3, 2015.

St. Mary's senior Christy Bishop was named the CAC Offensive Player of the Week after finding the back of the net a career-high five times and scoring the game-winner in the Seahawks' 10-9 victory over No. 17 Washington College. Bishop netted the game-winning goal with 3:14 remaining in regulation off a feed from Tori Poffenberger, giving St. Mary's its first win over a Top-20 team since 2010. Bishop finished the game with a career-best six points as she added an assist to her five goals. She buried all five of her shot attempts in the win.

St. Mary's junior Kayla Dunn was chosen as the CAC Defensive Player of the Week after recording 12 saves and five ground balls in helping the Seahawks to a 10-9 road win at No. 17 Washington College. Dunn played all 60 minutes in net for the Seahawks, posting a 57.9% save percentage to earn the victory.

Salisbury and York both dropped in the rankings after losses last week. In the IWLCA Rankings, Salisbury is ranked No. 8 and York is ranked No. 13, while St. Mary's and Mary Washington received votes ... In the Nike/Lacrosse Magazine Rankings, Salisbury is No. 6, York is No. 17 and St. Mary's is No. 20 ... Meaghan Galvin had a huge week for Christopher Newport, leading the Captains with 12 points with back-to-back six-point efforts. The sophomore registered four goals and two assists against both Bridgewater and Randolph-Macon. Additionally, she secured eight draw controls against Randolph-Macon, which ranks sixth on the program's all-time single-game list ... Marymount's Abby Wescott totaled seven goals last week in a pair of losses for the Saints ... Salisbury's Bethany Baer put together an all-around week in a 1-1 start for the Sea Gulls. In a 10-9 triple overtime win against No. 18 Stevenson, she totaled game-highs in ground balls, caused turnovers and goals, all with four in each category, including the game-tying caused turnover and goal at the end of regulation to send the biggest comeback in program history to overtime. Trailing 7-0 to Stevenson, Baer ignited the offense to open the second half with two goals in the first two minutes ... Wesley's Rylee Gould was one assist off her own school-record with eight assists as she matched her career-high with 11 points in the Wolverines win over US Merchant Marine Academy ... York's Allison Kolacy scored two goals and dished out an assist as she was responsible for three of the Spartans' five goals in their 9-5 loss to the No. 9 Franklin & Marshall.
