UMW Sweeps CAC Swimming Championships For Seventh Consecutive Season

The University of Mary Washington swept the 2007 Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Swimming Championships for the seventh consecutive year over the weekend at St. Mary's College of Maryland. The women won their 17th consecutive conference championship while the men registered their 13th overall CAC title.

St. Mary’s College of Maryland sophomore Brie McDowell (Hatboro, PA/Hatboro-Horsham) and University of Mary Washington senior Patricia Dilger (Wake Forest, NC/Wakefield) have been named as the Co-Capital Athletic Conference Women’s Swimming Athletes of the Week for the week ending January 21. This is the third time that McDowell has won this award.
