Marymount Junior Emily Campbell Named CAC Women's Swimmer Of The Week

Marymount junior EMILY CAMPBELL (Centreville, Va./Paul VI) is the Capital Athletic Conference Women’s Swimmer of the Week for Feb. 4, 2008, after winning two individual events and contributing to the winning 200 freestyle relay team in the Saints’ 23-point non-league triumph at West Virginia Wesleyan. Campbell recorded her individual wins in the 200 freestyle (2:03.42) and the 100 freestyle (56.96).

Mary Washington's Sara Crockett Named CAC Women's Swimmer Of The Week

Mary Washington freshman SARAH CROCKETT (Toano, VA/Lafayette) is the Capital Athletic Conference Women’s Swimmer of the Week for Jan. 28, 2008, after winning all six of her races over the weekend, including three individual firsts, as the Eagles remained atop the CAC standings with a 5-0 conference record. Crockett won the 500 freestyle (5:21.62) and was a member of a pair of relays in Friday’s 110-70 decision over second-place Marymount. She then contributed first-place performances in the 200 freestyle (1:57.94), the 200 backstroke (2:12.98) and a leg on the winning 400 medley relay in Saturday’s 110-95 setback at Gettysburg. It’s the second time this season Crockett has been named the CAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week (also Nov. 19, 2007).

Hood sophomore ERICA HAMOR (Nanjemoy, MD/Lackey) and St. Mary’s junior BRIE McDOWELL (Doylestown, PA/Hatboro-Horsham) are the Capital Athletic Conference Women’s Co-Swimmers of the Week for Jan. 21, 2008 after each earned three gold medals and leading their teams to a CAC victory over the weekend.

Gallaudet Fr. CARLISLE ROBINSON is the Capital Athletic Conference Women’s Swimmer of the Week for Jan. 13, 2008, after winning three individual events in a non-legaue triumph over the College of Notre Dame (Md.). Robinson, who has already broken GU records in the 50 breaststroke and 200 breaststroke this season, topped the field in the 400 IM, the 100 butterfly and the 100 breaststroke against CND.
