Mary Washington Soph. Sarah Crockett Wins Her Third CAC Women's Swimming Athlete Of The Week This Season

Mary Washington sophomore SARAH CROCKETT (Toano, Va./Lafayette) was selected the CAC Womens Swimming Athlete of the Week for the third time this season after winning two individual events and and a first-place relay team twice over the weekend, leading the Eagles to wins over CAC rivals Marymount and St. Marys. Friday at Marymount, Crockett won the 100 freestyle (55.13) and the 200 freestyle (1:58.20) and was a member of the winning 200 free relay (1:42.49). At home against St. Marys on Saturday, Crockett won the 100 freestyle (54.47) and the 200 freestyle (1:57.73), and was a member of the winning 400 free relay (3:46.89).
Salisbury Senior Raienne South Named CAC Women's Swimming Athlete Of The Week

Salisbury senior RAIENNE SOUTH (Rockville, Md./Magruder) was selected the CAC Womens Swimming Athlete of the Week after winning two individual events and contributing to the victorious 200 freestyle relay (1:48.23) in Saturdays victories over Hood and Frostburg St. South touched the wall first in the 200 freestyle (2:06.60) and the 500 freestyle (5:48.59) to help the Sea Gulls improve to 6-3 in dual meets this season.
St. Mary's Jr. Rachel Hotchko Named CAC Women's Swimming Athlete Of The Week

St. Marys junior RACHEL HOTCHKO (Yakima, Wash./A.C. Davis) was selected the CAC Womens Swimming Athlete of the Week after winning the 100 fly and the 200 fly at the annual Franklin & Marshall Invitational. Her 100 fly time of 58.00 was just .04 off the SMC team record and was an NCAA provisional qualifying time. She also placed fourth in the 50 freestyle and helped the Seahawks win the 200 freestyle relay and place second in three other relay events.

Mary Washington sophomore SARAH CROCKETT (Toano, Va./Lafayette) was selected the CAC Womens Swimming Athlete of the Week after recording two NCAA B cuts at the University of Maryland Terrapin Invitational over the weekend. Crockett placed 15th against primarily NCAA Division I competition in the 500 freestyle with a provisional national qualifying time of 5:05.64, then placed 18th in the 200 free with another B cut time of 1:53.80. She also contributed to a number of strong relay-team performances, including a 53.45 opening leg on the 400 free relay, which is the fourth-fastest 100 time in team history.
St. Mary's Senior Brie McDowell Repeats As CAC Women's Swimming Athlete Of The Week

St. Marys senior BRIE McDOWELL (Doylestown, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) was selected the CAC Womens Swimming Athlete of the Week for the second-straight week by breaking an individual pool record, a relay team pool record, an individual school record and recording an NCAA B cut in capturing six gold medals in two meets.

St. Marys senior BRIE McDOWELL (Doylestown, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) was named the CAC Womens Swimming Athlete of the Week helping the Seahawks to a pair of team wins Saturday. McDowell broke her own school record in the 200 freestyle (1:57.85) by almost a full second, then captured top honors in the 100 backstroke with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 59.42. McDowell also swam the first leg of the victorious 200 medley relay team (1:54.09).
