Hood Coach Brent Ayer Named President of Road Runners Club of America for 2008-09

Brent Ayer, head coach of Hood’s men and women’s cross country and track and field teams, has been named president of the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA). Founded in 1958, the RRCA is a nonprofit organization comprised of over 700 running clubs across the country that promotes long distance running, both competitive and recreational.

The University of Mary Washington, the 2007 Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) champion, placed six runners on the women’s cross country All-CAC teams as released today by the conference office. The Eagles had four runners selected to the first team and two selections on the second team. Senior Cristy Falcone (pictured) was selected as the Runner of the Year.

The University of Mary Washington won the 2007 Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) women's cross country championship on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles finished with 27 points, seven poitns ahead of second-place Salisbury University.
