Frostburg State Senior Nick Walker and Salisbury Junior Jeff Oster Earn CAC Baseball Weekly Awards
YORK, Pa. -- Frostburg State senior Nick Walker and Salisbury junior Jeff Oster were honored as the CAC Baseball Players of the Week for May 4, 2015.

Frostburg State senior Nick Walker was tabbed as the CAC Player of the Week for the second time this year after hitting .471 (8-for-17) with seven RBIs and seven runs scored in a 3-2 week for the second-ranked Bobcats. Walker notched a pair of home runs, a triple and a stolen base on the week with an on-base percentage of .526 and a slugging percentage of .941. He drove in a run in four of the five games and scored at least once in every game last week.

Salisbury junior Jeff Oster was selected as the CAC Pitcher of the Week after striking out eight batters in just 3.0 inning of relief against Staten Island on Saturday. With the Sea Gulls leading 6-3 in the top of seventh inning, Oster entered the game and retired the side in order for the final nine outs of the contest. He earned the save with his stellar performance, striking out all but one batter that he faced.

Salisbury is ranked 5th and 4th, respectively, in the two polls ... Frostburg State captured its second CAC Championship in program history with a 6-0 triumph over Salisbury on Sunday, April 19, earning the CAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament ... The 2015 NCAA Tournament field will be announced on Sunday, May 10 ... Frostburg State, Salisbury and York each have non-conference contests remaining this week ... Marymount's Ryan Blake batted .500 (6-for-12) on the week with four RBIs and two doubles, and also picked up the save against Catholic on Wednesday as the Saints closed out the year at 17-17 ... Jared Eaker helped St. Mary's to a 1-1 week, including a season-ending 15-3 win over Gallaudet on Sunday.
