YORK, Pa. -- St. Mary's senior Tanner Brooks was selected as the CAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for Nov. 30, 2015.

St. Mary's senior Tanner Brooks was selected as the CAC Player of the Week after knocking down the game-winning three-pointer with 12 seconds remaining to propel the Seahawks to a 59-56 non-conference win over Gallaudet on Saturday. Brooks finished with a game-high 19 points, including five triples, to go along with four rebounds, four assists and four steals.

NOTES AROUND THE CONFERENCE

In the D3hoops.com Preseason National Rankings, Salisbury (7) and Christopher Newport (4) each received votes ... Salisbury (5-0) and Christopher Newport (4-0) remain unbeaten on the year ... Christopher Newport sophomore Marcus Carter led the Captains to a non-conference win at Randolph-Macon and a CAC-opening victory over Frostburg State this week with averages of 16.5 points and 7.5 rebounds for the week. Carter leads CNU in scoring and rebounding through four games, the first time the Captains have started 4-0 in 11 years ... Frostburg State senior James Peters averaged 13.0 PPG in two games last week, a three-point win over Waynesburg and a CAC loss to CNU ... Junior T.J. Jones led Mary Washington to a convincing 95-64 win over Bryn Athyn on Saturday, as the Eagles improved to 3-2 on the year. Jones scored 23 points in 24 minutes, making 9-of-14 shots, including 5-of-8 three pointers. He leads the Eagles with 19 PPG, and also averages 3.4 rebounds per contest. He is shooting 50.8% from the field, including 46.7% on three pointers this season ... Salisbury's stifling defense was the biggest component to the team's win against No. 2 Virginia Wesleyan, and Rocky Harris led the way with a career-high seven steals in the contest. Salisbury finished with 14 steals in the game ... Southern Virginia senior Anders Jacobson averaged 18.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game in a 1-1 week for the Knights. SVU defeated Bridgewater (Va.) 92-88 last Tuesday for its first win of the year ... Wesley senior Wayne Lennon nearly led the Wolverines to their second upset of a top-five ranked team this weekend, scoring 22 points against No. 4 Catholic on Sunday. The senior went 7-for-12 from the floor (58.3%), including 4-for-6 (66.7%) from long distance. Lennon also snagged six rebounds, dished off six assists, and reeled in a pair of steals. Wesley fell to the fourth-ranked Cardinals on a buzzer-beater, 94-92.
