Men’s Soccer Volunteers with Arlington TOPSoccer

Marymount University’s men’s soccer team took time away from the pitch to volunteer with Arlington TOPSoccer on Saturday. TOPSoccer is a community-based soccer training and team placement program that brings the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl, ages 4-19, who has a mental or physical disability. TOPSoccer was started in Arlington in 2002.
Jason Kilby Named New Head Men's Soccer Coach at Mary Washington

Jason Kilby has been named as the new Head Men's Soccer Coach at the Universty of Mary Washington, according to Director of Athletics Dr. Ed Hegmann. Kilby has led North Carolina Wesleyan College as one of the top programs in the region for the past nine years. He is a native of nearby Culpeper, Va., and returns to the Fredericksburg area as the coach of the Eagles, replacing Roy Gordon, who will retire after 34 seasons as the only head coach in program history.

For the sixth consecutive season, the York College men's soccer squad has earned a trip to the NCAA Division III National Championship tournament as the brackets were announced Monday afternoon by the NCAA. The Spartans, who earned an automatic bid courtesy of Saturday's Capital Athletic Conference championship win in penalty kicks, have earned the right to host a pair of first round matches and a second round match on Saturday (11/13) and Sunday (11/14).

Annually, it's the biggest day in the Capital Athletic Conference - Championship Saturday in the Fall Semester. Six of the CAC's 19 championship trophies will be awarded tomorrow (11/6) - the most in any day all year. Frostburg State (volleyball), Mary Washington (field hockey), Salisbury (men's & women's cross country), Stevenson (women's soccer) and York (men's soccer) will all host championship events.
