Wesley Freshman Adrian Coverdale and Christopher Newport Senior Sean Christein Nab CAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week Honors
YORK, Pa. -- Wesley freshman Adrian Coverdale and Christopher Newport senior Sean Christein were selected as the CAC Men's Soccer Players of the Week for Sept. 28, 2015.

Wesley freshman Adrian Coverdale was selected as the CAC Offensive Player of the Week after scoring the deciding goal in each of the Wolverines' contests last week. Against Washington College on Wednesday, Coverdale finished a header in the 94th minute to hand Wesley the 2-1 golden-goal overtime win. In a 2-1 triumph over Mary Washington in Saturday's CAC opener, he broke the 1-1 tie with less than 15 minutes remaining for the eventual game-winner. The scores were his first two of his collegiate career.

Christopher Newport senior Sean Christein was named the CAC Defensive Player of the Week after anchoring a defense that allowed just one goal in a 1-0-1 week. Christein helped lead the CNU back line that allowed just three shots in the CAC-opening shutout against Penn State Harrisburg.

Christopher Newport jumped three spots to No. 4 in last week's National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) National Rankings while Salisbury climbed into the rankings at No. 22 ... In the D3soccer.com rankings, CNU is No. 4 and Salisbury is No. 19 ... CNU extended its season-opening unbeaten streak to 10 games and overall unbeaten streak to 18 games with a 1-0-1 week. Five different Captains scored in CAC opener against Penn State Harrisburg ... Frostburg State freshman Guy Nabo scored two goals last week as the Bobcats finished 1-1, including the game-winner of the Bobcats' 2-1 CAC-opening victory at Marymount ... St. Mary's junior Nick Tait had a hand in five of the team's nine goals as St. Mary's posted a 1-0-1 record last week. Tait assisted on both goals in a 2-2 draw with Catholic before recording his first career hat trick, including the game-winner, in a commanding 7-0 CAC win over Southern Virginia ...
