YORK, Pa. -- Mary Washington senior Alex Anderson was named the CAC Men's Swimming Athlete of the Week for Oct. 28, 2014.

Mary Washington senior Alex Anderson was named the CAC Men's Swimming Athlete of the Week after posting a strong start to the season that includes some of the top times in the nation. Anderson secured the Eagles' lone win against Division I William and Mary, winning the 200-yard IM with a time of 1:55.98, which ranks fourth in all of Division III so far this year. Against Catholic, he won the 50 freestyle at 21:35 and the 100 butterfly at 50.41. Against Washington & Lee, Anderson touched first in the 200 butterfly (1:53.91) and the 100 freestyle (46.97). His time in the 200 butterfly currently ranks second in the nation, while his 100 butterfly time ranks third. He also boasts top-10 national times in the 100 backstroke (5th), 100 freestyle (7th) and 50 freestyle (8th).
