York freshman Keven Stahl was named the CAC Athlete of the Week for the second straight week after breaking four more records in a CAC victory over St. Mary's. Stahl won the 1,000 freestyle in 9:37.82, setting York school and pool records and winning the event by over 41 seconds. He also won the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:41.57, which also set new pool and school records for the Spartans. Stahl owns the top times in the CAC in the 100, 500, and 1,000 freestyles so far this season.

NOTES AROUND THE CONFERENCE

Four CAC teams competed last week, while the Marymount and Mary Washington meet was postponed until Jan. 15 ... Frostburg State senior Christian March took three more individual wins in a close loss to Salisbury. He won the 100-meter breaststroke (1:07.56), 200-meter breaststroke (2:31.41) and the 200-meter IM (2:22.70) ... Salisbury junior Peter Moyer combined for five individual first-place finishes across two road swim meets over the past weekend, while also helping his relay teams earn two top finishes. Against Penn State Altoona on Friday, Moyer won the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:35.78) and the 100-yard butterfly (55.67 seconds). He was the anchor for the 200-yard freestyle relay team that finished first (1:32.19). On Saturday, Moyer won three more individual events. This time they were the 100-, 200-, and 400-meter freestyle events, with times of 55.65 seconds, 4:24.65, and 4:24.65, respectively. He was the third leg of the 400-meter freestyle relay that recorded a first-place finish with a time of 3:45.87.
