Christopher Newport Sophomore Grayson Reid Earns Second Straight CAC Men's Cross Country Weekly Honor

Christopher Newport sophomore Grayson Reid was named the CAC Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week for the second straight week after leading the Captains with a time of 25:47 in the 8k at the CNU Invitational. Reid's performance placed him second among Division III competitors and fifth among all entrants at the meet. Guided by Reid's efforts, the Captains finished first among Division III teams and second overall behind only William & Mary.

York Sophomore Alex Smith Named CAC Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week

York sophomore Alex Smith was selected as the CAC Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week after leading the Spartans to the team championship at the Sixth Annual Rich Achtzehn Classic on Saturday. Smith was York's top finisher in sixth place with a time of 28:59.9. The Spartans finished first of five teams including CAC foes St. Mary's and Penn State Harrisburg. Smith has been York's top finisher in both of the Spartans' events this year.
