FREDERICKSBURG, Va. -- Salisbury senior forward Kaylyn French was named Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Dec. 17, 2018.

Salisbury senior forward Kaylyn French shot 72.7% from the field and scored a team-high 17 points in the Sea Gulls' win over Neumann University on Saturday afternoon. She also recorded four rebounds and a steal to help push the team's winning streak to three games.

NOTES AROUND THE CONFERENCE

Mary Washington's Jordan Pamlanye turned in an outstanding effort at Washington & Lee on Saturday, scoring a game high 24 points to go with six rebounds, five assists, and three steals. She connected on 7-9 shots from the floor, and made 10-12 free throws en route to her 24 points. Her 6-6 effort from the line down the stretch led the Eagles to a comeback which led to overtime. She leads UMW with 12.7 PPG and 6.8 rebounds per contest this season...York's Katie McGowan posted 15 points and seven rebounds in a loss to Scranton...St. Mary's Gina Seifert paced the Seahawks at Eastern Mennonite with 11 points and a game-best nine rebounds plus a season-high two assists. This was Seifert's third game scoring in double digits...Christopher Newport's Kiana Kirkland led team in scoring as the Captains improved to 8-1 with a win over William Peace University ... Notched 18 points on 6-11 shooting in just 20 minutes of action ... Added five steals to lead team's defensive effort as well, while chipping in a pair of assists and one rebound ... Helped CNU score 90 points or more in three of four games for just the seventh time in program history ...
