Christopher Newport freshman Erica Whitehouse was selected as the CAC Women's Golfer of the Week after firing a team-best round of seven-over-par 80 at the rain-shortened Callaway Gardens Intercollegiate. Whitehouse's score earned her 24th place in a field of 90 golfers.

2017-18 marks the inaugural golf season for Christopher Newport, Mary Washington, Penn State Harrisburg, Southern Virginia, and York ... CNU, UMW and SVU opened their spring seasons last week, while York begins play this week and Penn State Harrisburg begins its spring campaign on March 17 ... CNU freshman Harper Lurie signed for a season-best 82 (+9) as the Captains finished 13th out of 16 teams at the Callaway Gardens Intercollegiate ... Mary Washington freshman Andrea Dill was UMW's top finisher at the Montreat Invitational, shooting a 94 and tying for 11th place.
