St. Mary's Senior Gillian Sawyer and York Senior Kate Lutte Earn CAC Women's Soccer Players of the Week
YORK, Pa. -- St. Mary's senior Gillian Sawyer and York senior Kate Lutte earned CAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week honors for Sept. 28, 2015.

St. Mary's senior Gillian Sawyer was honored as the CAC Offensive Player of the Week after tallying four goals and an assist, including the game-winner, in the Seahawks' 7-1 triumph over Southern Virginia on Saturday in its conference opener. Sawyer's four goals and nine points in the contest were career bests.

Kate Lutte was picked as the CAC Defensive Player of the Week after recording a pair of shutouts in net in a 2-0 week for the Spartans. In a 2-0 win over Juniata, Lutte made two saves including a huge stop early in the second half on a point-blank shot when the game was still scoreless. She followed that with four stops in a 3-0 win over Marymount in the Spartans' CAC opener. Lutte is now 3-2 with a 1.20 goals against average and a .806 save percentage on the year. She has earned all three of the Spartans' shutouts.
