Marymount Junior Morgan Alston Named CAC Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week

Marymount junior Morgan Alston was named the CAC Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week after breaking a school record and securing a pair of first-place finishes in the Saints' 112-91 victory over Frostburg State. Alston notched first in the 100-yard individual medley with a time of 1:01.55, setting a new MU program record. That time also ranks 16th in Division III this season. She later placed first in the 100-yard backstroke at 1:01.72, and also claimed second in the 100-yard breaststroke at 1:09.80.
Mary Washington Freshman Julia Geskey Selected as CAC Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week

Mary Washington freshman Julia Geskey was selected as the CAC Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week after winning three events to help the Eagles defeat Gettysburg on Saturday. Geskey was the leadoff swimmer on the winning 200-yard medley relay that finished with a time of 1:51.38, and followed with individual wins in the 1,000-yard freestyle at 10:59.61 and the 200-yard backstroke at 2:12.04.
Marymount Freshman Hayley Elizondo Named CAC Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week

Marymount freshman Hayley Elizondo was named the CAC Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week after recording three individual victories and a top relay finish in the Saints' 155-107 CAC victory over Salisbury on Saturday. Elizondo cruised to victories in the 100 breaststroke (1:10.69), 200 breaststroke (2:34.11), and 200 IM (2:14.23), while also helping the Saints 400 medley relay (4:12.27) to gold.
Mary Washington Senior Anna Corley Secures CAC Women's Swimming Weekly Award

Mary Washington senior Anna Corley earned CAC Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week honors after leading the Eagles to the team title at the Gettysburg Invitational with four first-place finishes, including an NCAA provisional cut. Corley finished first in the 400 IM with an NCAA "B" cut time of 4:34.32, spearheading a 1-2-3 UMW finish in the event. She also won the 200 IM at 2:07.60 and contributed to the winning 800 freestyle and 400 freestyle relay squads. Her 200 IM time ranks 19th nationally, while her 400 IM is 32nd.
Frostburg State Junior Macey Nitchie Earns Second Straight CAC Women's Swimming Weekly Honor

Frostburg State junior Macey Nitchie was named the CAC Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week for the second straight week after posting three of the top times in the CAC and setting four individual and two school relay records at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational. Individually, she broke Frostburg State records and ranked among the top times nationally in the 50 freestyle (24.29; 25th nationally), 100 freestyle (52.87; 15th nationally), 200 freestyle (1:54.17; 14th nationally), and 1650 freestyle (18:44.23; 53rd nationally). Her 50, 100, and 1650 times rank atop the CAC this season. She was also a part of record-breaking 400 medley relay (4:06.64) and 400 freestyle relay (3:43.98) squads.

Mary Washington senior Shannon Coryell was honored as the CAC Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week after notching three individual and three relay victories in a pair of lopsided dual-meet wins for the Eagles. Against Randolph-Macon, Coryell won the 100 butterfly (1:00.82) and was part of winning relays in the 200 medley (1:53.71) and 200 freestyle (1:42.61).
York Sophomore Maddy Mann Named CAC Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week

York sophomore Maddy Mann was named the CAC Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week after recording two individual wins and a relay victory in the Spartans' season-opening win over Elizabethtown. Mann won the 200 freestyle by more than six seconds, finishing in 1:59.35. She also touched first in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:16.84, defeating the second-place finisher by 12 seconds. Those times rank 21st and 16th in Division III, respectively, so far this season. Mann was also a part of the winning 200 medley relay team with a time of 1:59.74.
