The University of Mary Washington women's tennis team erased a 4-0 deficit to tie the team score at four, but fell in the final match in a 5-4 loss at #14 Carnegie Mellon University on Friday in Pittsburgh in the second round of the NCAA Division III Tournament. The Eagles close the season at 17-9 overall.

The University of Mary Washington women's tennis team swept all three doubles matches before winning at four, five, and six singles in straight sets in topping Moravian College, 6-0, in the first round of the NCAA Division III women's tennis tournament on Thursday in Pittsburgh. The Eagles improve to 17-8 on the season, and will face the hosts on Friday in second round action.
